Acryloyl Chloride is yellow colored flammable liquid which finds most common application for organic synthesis. It has molecular formula C3H3ClO with molar mass of 90.51 g/mol and density of 1.119 g/cm3. This compound is also extensively utilized for preparation of polymers & acrylate monomers. It belongs to acid chloride groups of compounds and has sharp odor. Acryloyl Chloride can be industrially produced by reaction of acrylic acid with benzoyl or thionyl chloride.
